The Administrative Board of the Institutum Carmelitanum is formed by the Praeses and eight members nominated by the General Council of the Order for a six year, renewable term. These members are nominated by the Praeses after consultation with all the members of the Institutum.

The members of the Administrative Board are charged with:

  • Collaboration with the Praeses in organizing, planning, and evaluating the scientific work of the Institutum;
  • Meeting at least once a year to review the projects which are underway as well as new projects.

One member of the General Council has the responsibility for oversight over the comitato and the Board is accountable to the Prior General and his Council through him.
