Holdings

The General Archives of the Carmelite Order contain a wide range of documents pertaining to the Order from the 14^th century through 1935. They include papal bulls, the registers of the Prior Generals, Acts of the Chapters, and a variety of other historical documents.

Protocol for Use

The use of the General Archives of the Carmelite Order is at the disposal of reputable scholars by pre-arranged appointment with the archivist and presentation of credentials.

Hours

Normally the archives are open from September until December 15 and from January 6 until June 15. To consult the archives at other times, please make special arrangements with the archivist, Fr. Emmanuele Boaga.
