About this time Mr. Angresano's parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, received a new pastor, Leonard J. Gilman, O. Carm. Gliman saw the print and commissioned Mr. Angresano to paint themes of a Carmelite nature to adorn the walls of the chapel at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Tenafly, which is owned by the Carmelites. . . . “I painted Our Lady on Mount Carmel, a 30”x40” oil on canvas original. It depicts a heroic Mary symbolically on Mount Carmel with a parade of famous Carmelites ascending the hills.
