Il reverendissimo Fernando Mill án Romeral è stato eletto Priore Generale dell'Ordine Carmelitano durante il Capitolo Generale dei Carmelitani, che si sta svolgendo a Sassone (Italia).P. Millán ha studiato in Spagna, in Roma presso la Pontificia Università Gregoriana, e in Irlanda. Diplomato in Flilosofia e licensiato in Teologia ha ottenuto il dottorato in Teologia Dogmatica. Fino all'elezione insegnava Telologia nella Pontificia Università di Comillas ed è membro dell'Institutum Carmelitanum in Roma; inoltre tra Consigliere per la formazione nella sua Provincia Betica, nella Spagna meridionale. Ha servito l'Ordine in diverse commissioni. P. Millán è nato a Madrid in Spagna, il 19 agosto 1962; ha emesso la professione semplice il 3 ottobre 1982 ed è stato ordinato prebitero il 21 gennaio 1989. I suoi genitori sono defunti; il fratello vive con la famiglia a Madrid. L'ultimo priore generale spagnolo risale ai primi dell' 800.

CARMEN
El Rvdmo. P. Fernando Millán Romeral ha sido elegido Prior General de la Orden del Carmen en el Capítulo General celebrado en Sassone, Italia, en septiembre de 2007. El P. Fernando realizó sus estudios primero en España, luego en la Pontifica Universidad Gregoriana de Roma y posteriormente en Irlanda. Tiene la Licencia en Filosofía y en Teología y el Doctorado en Teología Dogmática. Hasta el momento de ser elegido Prior General era profesor de la Universidad Pontifica de Comillas, miembro del Instituto Carmelita de Roma y Consejero Provincial de la Provincia Bética en España.
Nació en Madrid
el 19 de agosto de 1962. Hizo su Profesión Temporal el 3 de octubre de
1982 y fue ordenado sacerdote el 21 de junio de 1989. Sus padres
fallecieron hace unos años. Su hermano y su familia viven en Madrid.

Most Reverend Fernando Mill án Romeral was elected the Prior General of the Carmelite Order during the Carmelite General Chapter being held in Sassone, Italy.Fr. Mill án studied in Spain as well as at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, and in Ireland. He holds a degree in Philosophy, a license in Dogmatic Theology and a doctorate in Theology. Until his election, he was a professor of Theology at the Pontifical University of Comillas and a member of the Carmelite Institute in Rome. He served as the Provincial Councilor for Formation in his home province of Baetica in southern Spain. He also served on various commissions.Fr. Mill án was born in Madrid, Spain on August 19, 1962. He made his simple profession on October 3, 1982 and was ordained priest on January 21, 1989. His parents are deceased. His brother and family live in Madrid.The last prior general of the Carmelites from Spain was in the early 1800’s.
