Il Consiglio Generale e le riunioni plenaria di aprile 2006 I membri del Consiglio Generale hanno cominciato una riunione plenaria nel pomeriggio del 20 aprile. Il 21 aprile il Consiglio si è incontrato con la Commissione Internazionale per la Formazione e la Commissione per lo studio della spiritualità e carisma dell’Ordine. L’incontro si è svolto per migliorare il coordinamento dei progetti di entrambi, che spesso sono di interesse comune.Nei giorni successivi, i vari membri del Consiglio Generale hanno relazionato sulle visite canoniche ed altri incontri avvenuti nelle loro regioni di competenza, dopo l’ultima seduta plenaria. Sono stati aggiornati gli appuntamenti dei vari congressi, corsi ed assemblee, che si terranno nei prossimi mesi estivi. Il Definitorio Generale degli OCD è stato ospite nella Casa Curia per un incontro con il Consiglio Generale OCARM che si è concluso con un pranzo insieme. I progetti comuni discussi sono stati: · il Dizionario Carmelitano; la celebrazione della Regola Carmelitana durante il Capitolo Generale OCARM nel settembre 2007, insieme alla Famiglia Carmelitana in una chiesa di Roma;· il sito web OCARM-OCD; · la lettera congiunta dei Superiori Generali sulla Regola. Il prossimo incontro congiunto si svolgerà a dicembre 2006.

El plenario del Consejo General en abril Los miembros del Consejo General han celebrado el plenario correspondiente a abril 2006, que dio comienzo en la tarde del 20 de abril. El 21 de abril tuvieron un encuentro con las Comisiones de Formación y la del Carisma y Espiritualidad. Estas reuniones son ayuda para coordinar los trabajos. Durante las sesiones de los días siguientes, los miembros del Consejo General dieron un informe sobre las recientes Visitas Canónicas efectuadas y otras reuniones de sus respectivas Áreas. Así mismo informaron sobre los Cursos, Congresos y Asambleas que tendrán lugar durante los meses del verano. El viernes, 28 de abril, las dos Curias Generales, O.Carm.-O.C.D. tuvieron un encuentro en nuestra Curia y luego compartieron la comida. En la reunión se trataron diversos proyectos: Diccionario Carmelita; Celebración del Centenario de la Regla durante el Capítulo General de septiembre de 2007, junto con la Familia Carmelita en una iglesia de Roma; Página Web O.CARM.-O.C.D.; y Carta consunta de ambos Superiores Generales sobre la Regla. El próximo encuentro de ambas Curias tendrá lugar en diciembre de 2006.

The members of
the General Council met in plenary session beginning on the
afternoon of April 20th. On April 21, they met with both the
International Formation Commission and the International Commission
for the Study of the History and the Charism of the Order. This
meeting help coordinate projects of these two commissions that are
often closely related.
During the session on the following days, the members of the General Council gave reports on the canonical visitations and other meetings held in their areas of responsibility since the last plenary session of the General Council. There were also updates on the various congresses, courses, and assemblies that will be occurring over the summer months. On Friday, April 28, the OCARM General Council hosted the OCD General Definitory for a meeting and lunch together. Among the joint projects discussed were the Carmelite Dictionary, the celebration of the Carmelite Rule during the OCARM General Chapter in September 2007 and with the Carmelite Family in one of the churches of Rome, the OCARM-OCD website, and the joint letter of the Superiors General on the Rule. The next joint meeting will take place in December 2006.
