THE FRIARS
AYLESFORD, ENGLAND

Transportation from London Gatwick, London Heathrow or via Eurostar from Europe

From London Gatwick Airport

To The Friars - Aylesford:

Take the Gatwick express to London Victoria (approximate travel time: 30 minutes) and then the train to Maidstone East (approximate travel time: 60 minutes). (The train usually leaves from "Platform 4" but check the board to make sure.)

When you arrive at Maidstone East, take a taxi from the station to "The Friars."

From London Heathrow Airport

To The Friars - Aylesford:

Take the 'Underground" (subway or 'tube') from Heathrow and change at Hammersmith onto a "District Line Underground" train to Victoria (approximate travel time: 40 minutes). Leave the Victoria Underground Station and enter the "Mainline Station," then take a train to Mainstone East (approximate travel time: 60 minutes).

When you arrive in Mainstone East, take a taxi from the station to "The Friars."

Via Eurostar

To The Friars - Aylesford:

Coming from the Continent (Europe) by Eurostar, get off at "Ashford International" and take the local train to "Maidstone East" (approximate travel time is 30 minutes).

When you arrive in Mainstone East, take a taxi from the station to "The Friars."

To Be Avoided:

1) There is a train station at Aylesford but it is on a 'branch line' and would be more trouble that it is worth. It is best to use the "Maidstone East" train.

2) The Stanstead Airport is not recommended if you want to then go to the Friars.
