the opportunity to discover some of the earliest Carmelite spiritual writings/authors: Rubrica Prima, Ignea Sagitta, John Baconthorpe, Conrad of St. Joris, Michael Aiguani, De Institutione Primorum Monachorum, and John Soreth


The course opens with a global vision of the historical context of these writings and their contribution to the development of Carmelite spirituality. The participants will then be introduced to the proper understanding of medieval spiritual tests. The different writings/authors will be introduced and examined by experts, the method of Lectio Divina will then help us to encounter the texts in a personal and prayerful way through meditation and sharing in language groups.
