SIX YEAR PLAN GOALS  
     

 

The General Council will pursue, as a matter of great importance, the finding of other sources of funds for the Curia.  
     
  The General Council will appoint a General Commission to help the Bursar General in his role of managing the finances of the Order.  
     
  The General Council will pay special attention to the progress of the Domus Carmelitana  
     
  A 10 point, SIX YEAR FINANCIAL STRATEGY PLAN, which includes the following:
1. The reduction and elimination of the Curia debts on CISA, the CURIA residence, and the DOMUS CARMELITANA;
2. The consolidation and strengthening of existing investments;
3. The establishment and expansion of the new Little Flower Society for the works of the Curia;
4. An audit of the Curia's revenues and obligations;
5. For the Bursar General to be in personal contact with the Provincials and Provincials Bursars in order to explain the needs of the Order and to understand the needs and realities of the Provinces.
6. The appointment of three lay members to the International Finance Commission with expertise in banking/accounting, investment management, and financial development;
7. To reduce the number of existing bank accounts;
8. To establish a new account for any future extraordinary expenses;
9. To implement a policy of three bids required for any future extraordinary work;
10. To create a new financial reporting form for the annual Provincial reports with specific standards and expectations to be followed.
    The main objective of this new six year financial strategy plan is to make the Curia and its entities less dependent financially on the Provinces by using:
1. The profits from a debt free Domus Carmelitana
2. The profits from a consolidated financial fund
3. The profits from the new Little Flower Society for Curia works fulfilling the Society's guidelines
