He explains the different facets of her role in the history of salvation in simple language, based on long and profound study of the texts. Mary prophesied, "All generations will call me blessed." (Lk 1:48). Reflection on her role in the life of Jesus and the Church by studying what the New Testament writers say about her will help us to understand more deeply her role in our lives. Fr. Stock is a noted exegete who teaches at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome. He is currently Secretary General of the Pontifical Biblical Commission.
