NUOVA BEATA 8 OTTOBRE 2006 In occasione della beatificazione di Madre Maria Scrilli, il Priore Generale ha scritto una lettera alla Famiglia Carmelitana:
Beata Maria Teresa Scrilli Maria Teresa di Gesù (al secolo Maria Scrilli), sin dalla giovinezza aderì alla spiritualità carmelitana, che incarnò nell’attività apostolica. Si consacrò al’educazione della gioventù femminile e alla carità verso i bisognosi. Con alcune compagne fondò a Montevarchi (Arezzo) un nuovo istituto religioso, oggi chiamato Istituto di Nostra Signora del Carmelo. Gli inizi di quest’opera furono molto travagliati, soprattutto a causa delle vicende politiche dell’unità d'Italia. Il buon seme gettato dalla fondatrice si sviluppò dopo la sua morte. Fu dichiarata venerabile il 20 dicembre 2003 ed il miracolo per la sua beatificazione è stato riconosciuto il 19 dicembre 2005.

María Teresa de
Jesús (en el siglo María Scrilli) vivió desde la juventud la
espiritualidad carmelita, que luego encarnó en la actividad
apostólica. Se consagró a la educación de la juventud femenina y a
la caridad hacia los necesitados. Fundó un nuevo Instituto
Religioso en Montevarchi (Arezzo) junto con algunas compañeras,
llamado hoy Instituto de Nuestra Señora del Carmelo. Las
vicisitudes de esta obra fueron muy dificultosas, sobre todo a
causa de los acontecimientos políticos de la unidad de Italia. La
buena semilla sembrado por la fundadora, se desarrolló después de
su muerte. Fue declarada Venerable el 20 de diciembre de 2003 y el
milagro para su beatificación fue aprobado el 19 de diciembre de
2005.

Blessed Maria Teresa
Scrilli Maria Teresa of Jesus (Maria Scrilli) followed the path of Carmelite spirituality from her youth and put it into practice in the apostolic life. She dedicated herself to the education of young girls and women, and to charitable works on behalf of the poor. Together with her colleagues, she founded a new religious institute at Montevarchi, in the province of Arezzo in Italy, which today is called the “Istituto di Nostra Signora del Carmelo”. The fortunes of this foundation were closely tied to those of the politics of the unification of Italy in the 1860s and ‘70s and the seed that she sowed only bore fruit after her death. She was declared venerable on 20 December 2003 and the miracle needed for her beatification was recognised by the Holy See on 19 December 2005.
