GLI INCONTRI DEL CONSIGLIO GENERALE
Dal 4 al 15 marzo, si sono svolti gli incontri del Consiglio Generale nella Casa Curia. Molti argomenti furono presi in considerazione, incluso piani ulteriori per la moltitudine di progetti per i prossimi sei anni di questo governo. Molta attenzione è stata prestata alle idée per la celebrazione del 550° anniversario della Bulla “Cum Nulla” che stabilì le monache carmelitane ed i laici carmelitani.
C’erano incontri con il P. Mark Attard, priore di CISA, con i membri del suo consiglio, con il P. Vincenzo Mosca, Direttore della Domus Carmelitana, e con il P. Alexander Vella, responsabile per i corsi di formazione permanente. Si è aggiornato le visite del Priore Generale e dei Consiglieri Generali alle Province ed ai Capitoli Provinciali. L’economia e gli affari legali sono anche state discusse. Per un giorno intero, il Consiglio ha ricevuto il “Consiglio Esecutivo” della Provincia Olandese che presentò la situazione attuale della Provincia.
Il sabato, 9 marzo, il 50° anniversario di professione di due membri del Consiglio Generale, il P. Carlos Mesters ed il P. Anthony Scerri, si svolse con una celebrazione eucaristica e un pranzo alla Casa Curia.
Il prossimo incontro del Consiglio Generale si svolgerà dal 14 al 21 maggio alla Casa Curia.

La reunión del Consejo General
Durante los días del
4 al 15 de mayo tuvo lugar la reunión del Consejo General en la residencia de la
Curia General en Roma, En dicha reunión fueron tratados varios asuntos entre
ellos un proyecto adicional para los acontecimientos que van a tener lugar
durante el sexenio de la actual administración. Se prestó especial atención a
las ideas aportadas para la celebración del 550º aniversario de la bula papal
"Cum Nulla" por la que se concedía la aprobación de las Monjas Carmelitas y el
laicado carmelita.
En esta oportunidad se tuvo varios encuentros: Con el P. Mark Attard, prior del
C.I.S.A. y los miembros de su consejo; con el P. Vincenzo Mosca, Director de la
"Domus Carmelitana", y con el P. Sandro Vela que es el responsable para los
cursos de formación permanente. Se trató también de las fechas de los viajes del
P. General y de los Consejeros hacia las diversas provincias en ocasión de sus
Capítulos Provinciales. También fueron tratados varios asuntos financieros y sus
implicaciones legales. Además el Consejo también se reunió, durante toda una
jornada con el "Daily Board" de la Provincia de los Países Bajos, en cuya
reunión fue expuesta la situación de la Provincia.
El sábado día 9 de marzo se celebró el 50º aniversario de la profesión simple de
los Padres Carlos Mesters y Anthony Scerri, con una emotiva Eucaristía en la
capilla de la Curia y un suculento almuerzo en fraternidad, en el refectorio.
La próxima reunión del Consejo General, fue fijada para los días del 14 al 21 de
Mayo en la Curia General en Roma.

MEETINGS OF THE GENERAL COUNCIL
The General Council met at the Curia residence in Rome from March 4-15. A number of issues were discussed, including additional planning for the myriad of events that will take place during the six years of this administration. Special attention was given to ideas for the celebration of the 550th anniversary of the papal bull “Cum Nulla” which established the Carmelite Nuns and the Lay Carmelites.
There were meetings with Mark Attard, prior of CISA, and the members of his council, Vincenzo Mosca, the Director of Domus Carmelitana, and Sandro Vella, who is responsible for the on-going formation courses. There were updates on the trips of the Prior General and the General Councilors to the various Provinces as well as Provincial Chapters. Various financial matters as well as legal issues were also discussed. The Council also met for one day with the ‘Daily Board’ of the Dutch Province during which the situation of the Province was described.
The 50th Anniversary of Simple Profession for two members of the General Council, Carlos Mesters and Anthony Scerri, took place with a Eucharistic celebration and dinner at the Curia on Saturday, March 9.
The next meeting of the General Council will take place May 14-21 at the Curia in Rome.
