Carm. "Mater Unitatis" Federation Elections The "Mater Unitatis" Federation of the Carmelite nuns celebrated its VIth Federal Assembly July 19-24, 2004, in Madrid, Spain. Some of the time was spent in reflection on the theme of community life. There was also the election of officials for the Federation. Margarita), Venezuela, held it’s triennial elective Chapter on July 29,
2004 in the presence of the local bishop, Bishop Rafael Conde. Elected to
office for three years were: Elective Chapter of the Santa Ana Carmelite Monastery (Tafira Alta) On August 5, 2004, the Carmelite nuns of the Monastery of Santa Ana in Tafira Alta, Grand Canary Islands, celebrated their elective chapter. Elected to serve the community were: Electoral Chapter of Carmelo Presentación de Maria Santísima Vic (Barcelona), Spain The Carmelite monastery, Carmelo de la Presentación de Maria Santísima de Vic inVic (Barcelona), Spain, held its triennial elective Chapter July 30 - August 1, 2004 in the presence of Mons. Romá Casanova. Elected to office for three years were: Polish Province Extraordinary Chapter (Pol) Fr. Dariusz Borek, O. Carm., was elected Prior Provincial of the Polish Province during an Extraordinary Provincial Chapter held September 2, 2004 at the Carmelite monastery in Krakow. He will complete the term of Fr. Leszek Pawlak who died in June as a result of injuries suffered in a car accident. |
