de Madrid a Roma en 1666 The transcription of the original text with an introduction and notes by Pablo Garrido, O. Carm. The 17th century Spanish Carmelite, Luis Pérez de Castro, enjoyed great prestige in the Roman Curia because of his involvement on some of the major doctrinal questions of the day. He recorded his almost two month journey to the 1666 General Chapter of the Order in a small notebook. Pérez went on to keep a diary of his extended stay in Rome. Fr. Garrido has arranged those entries by specific topic under the headings daily life, the life of the Carmelite Order and the life of the Church. If the Latin text does not interest you, the very interesting 50 pages of introduction on this important Carmelite theologian by Fr. Garrido will. This is the sixth volume in the Institutum Carmelitanum series Archivium Historicum Carmelitanum. Available from: Edizioni Carmelitane
