no. 4 october - december 2005 General Chapter of the "Hermanas de la Virgen María del Monte Carmelo, España The Congregation of the "Hermanas de la Virgen María del Monte Carmelo" celebrated the XVIII General Chapter on July 17 - August 15, 2005 in Orihuela (Murcia), Spain. The Congregation was founded by M. Elisea Oliver Molina in 1891 and affiliated to the Order in 1906. Today they are present in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Indonesia, Timor Leste, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Rwada. At the final session of the Chapter on August 15, 2005, the following were elected: Superior General: Ana Molina Rebordosa Elective Chapter of the Monastery of "La Sagrada Familia" in Moncorvo, Portugal From August 2-5, 2005, the Carmelite nuns of the Monastery of "La Sagrada Familia" of Moncorvo (Tras-os –Monstes), Bragança, Portugal, celebrated their triennial elective chapter. The meetings were presided over by Bishop Don Antonio Montes Moreira, of the Diocese of Bragança-Miranda. Elected during the Chapter were: Prioress: Maria Imaculada Conceiçao Nevado, O. Carm. Capítulo Elective Chapter of the Monastery of "La Asunción" in Huesca, Spain The Carmelite nuns of the monastery of "la Asunción" in Huesca, Spain, celebrated their triennial Elective Chapter from July 23 thru August 25, 2005. Fr. Antonio Broto, the diocesan Delegate for Religious in Huesca, presided. Elected during the Chapter were: Prioress: María del Carmen Ibarra Lorea, O. Carm. Elective Chapter of the Carmelite Monastery ‘SS.ma Trinità’ in Jesi, Italy On Thursday, September 1, 2005, the Carmelite nuns in Jesi, Italy, held their triennial chapter.
