The XVIth General Chapter of the Congregação das Irmãs da Divina Providência took place January 6-14, 2007 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Present for the celebration was Joseph Chalmers, Prior General of the Order, and Dom Arnaldo Ribeiro, delegate of the Archbishop of Belo Horizonte. Elected were:

The Congregation was instituted in 1899 and affiliated to the Carmelite Order in 1913. It has 47 houses and 245 sisters in Brazil, Argentina, and Equador. The curia of the Congregation is located in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
